1. Introduction
Greypost ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our email service.
2. Information we collect
We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our service:
- Account credentials (email address and encrypted password)
- Email message content, which is stored in encrypted form
- Basic connection logs retained for no more than 14 days for security purposes
3. Information we do not collect
We do not collect, store, or process:
- Advertising identifiers or tracking pixels
- Behavioural analytics or usage profiling data
- Location data beyond what is present in standard IP connection logs
- Any data from third-party trackers, cookies, or analytics services
4. How we use your information
Your information is used solely to operate the email service: delivering messages, maintaining account security, and ensuring service reliability. We do not sell, share, or monetise your data in any form.
5. Data storage and security
All email data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We use industry-standard encryption protocols to protect your communications. Our infrastructure is hosted in secure, audited data centres within the United Kingdom.
6. Data retention
Your email data is retained for as long as your account is active. Connection logs are automatically purged after 14 days. Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
7. Third parties
We do not share your data with any third parties. We do not integrate with advertising networks, analytics platforms, or data brokers. We do not honour third-party tracking requests.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also request a portable copy of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us through the channels listed on our contact page.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated to account holders via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
