1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Greypost email service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the service. Greypost is an invite-only service; possession of an account constitutes acceptance of these terms.
2. Service description
Greypost provides a private, encrypted email service. We offer email sending, receiving, and storage functionality. The service is provided on an "as is" basis and we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time.
3. Account eligibility
Accounts are issued by invitation only. You must be at least 18 years of age to hold an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Greypost for:
- Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam) or commercial mass mailings
- Distributing malware, phishing attempts, or fraudulent content
- Any activity that violates applicable UK or international law
- Harassment, abuse, or threats directed at any individual or group
- Impersonation of another person or entity
Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination without notice.
5. Privacy
Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
6. Intellectual property
The Greypost name, logo, and website design are the property of Greypost Ltd. You retain full ownership of the content you send and receive through the service.
7. Service availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from service interruptions, data loss, or delays in message delivery.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Greypost Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Account termination
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms or that have been inactive for an extended period. You may request account deletion at any time through our contact page. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our privacy policy.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or the use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to account holders via email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
